I am delighted to be undertaking an artistic residency as part of the Villa Albertine, a network of arts and ideas spanning France and the United States, inspired by the great cultural bastion that was the Villa Médicis. As a French and American citizen, I am so happy to be able to participate in the strengthening of cultural ties between these two countries, and will be writing about the cultural differences between American orchestras. This residency will take me to the Los Angeles, Atlanta and Chicago Symphony Orchestras, and I will also have the opportunity to assist Esa-Pekka Salonen and the San Francisco Symphony Orchestra in June 2022.
